The prices of board games at PI are been marked up to very high.
Hopefully, there will be a new kid on the block in this monopoly
board game retailer market in Singapore. This would really spice
up the competition on board game sales and the consumers can
benefit from the price war.
Do u guys think it would be feasible to open another board game
cafe in Singapore? There are already Settlers, Minds, Pit Stop,
Decoder in the market. Do we need another new player?
Setting up a cafe which will involve sourcing for an ideal
physical venue with a good location. There are also the rental,
electricity bills, manpower, renovation costs, furnitures,
costs of purchasing and laminating new games, cost to run the
cafe (the food, drinks) and the list goes on........
I welcome the suggestion of someone entering the market as a new
board game retailer. Anyone interested?

I prefer the retailing idea.
But online board game retailing is more feasible cos lesser
overheard costs eg. rental, utilities, furnitures, staff salaries etc
Lesser competition.

It's true that overhead costs're lower but competition's definitely stiffer over the Internet.
Consumers've the power and ease of checking out game prices offered by competitors, thus, products online're very price-sensitive unless unique services're offered.
