Quote that everyone should bear in mind:

"To love someone, you doesn't have to be together with her.
As long as you can see the smile on her face, its all that matters.
Love will take its form in different way."

"If i have nothing good to say about someone , i will say nothing."

Oscar Wilde said this i believe , its quite a good quote that can help alot in PR situation when a simple rebuttal can seriously hurt friendship and impression of new aquaintance.(dun know how to spell)

so next time before u say something in a fit of anger , remember , sometimes keeping quiet will do more good.

=D

It's spelt as "acquaintance". But don't you think that keeping quiet at times speaks even more? Paradoxical, yes, but it's true. Non-verbal communication is actually more powerful as it gives too much room for the mind to interpret, and mostly in the negative sense. Perhaps a better way would be to say that you have nothing of value to add? Just my opinion.

of course from what u meant in the previous statement , i understand that u are assuming that both parties are sort of already in an semi hostile type of interaction and keeping quiet would give definately negative impression.

i think what oscar wilde meant here would be that as a third person who is not involved and or maybe as a part of a 2 way conversation that is still in amiable situation , when some unpleasant thought flashes in your mind , sometimes it is best to just keep it to yourself instead of voicing it out , even if its is the truth , of course u have to voice out if keep quiet is going to be harmful to anyone , if it harmless , just way better to let it pass.

and yes "you have nothing of value to add" is a great way of interpreting it but the original phrase sounds more "wisdomly" and if u think of it in simplier terms without going deeply into psychology , it does explain abit.

oh its pass midnight now so i can put another quote

"Because bear don't eat shit" -Woody Stevens

Guess the movie =D

I see. We'd different contexts in mind, therefore the differing views but now that I know where you're coming from, I fully agree with what you say.

As for that quote, I guess I haven't watched that movie before. Don't recognize the quote nor the character's name.

Jason, it's spelt "geez". "Geese" is the plural of "goose" but if you did intend the pun, it is pretty funny...haha.

Now you can be known as geeseman too!

That was a quote from john travolta from the show "Wildhog" , it goes like this.

They are out camping in the woods, and after one of the guy, who is very very very eco friendly, poo , he put his poo in a plastic bag so as to not dirty the ground.
And when the night came , he hanged the bag of poo on a tree. When Travolta asked him why he did that , he replied "so that the bears cant reach the bag and eat it", the guy being eco-friendly , and Travolta replied with a frustrated voice "you dun need to do that ". The guy asked "Why not?" Travolta , totally perplexed now shouted @ the guy saying "BECAUSE BEAR DUN EAT SHIT!!"

Funniest moment in the show , u guys should check out the show , worth the $$.

Well its pass 12 am , so time for another quote , this is abit crude , some of you may think i'm a dick for saying this , i saw in on a WoW forum sometime ago and i think its pretty much make sense if your ignore the prejudice in it. here it go , read with a open mind.

There was this heated argument between 2 guys about the OP'ness of a certain class and those 2 started flaming each other with vulgarities and theorycrafting with lots of maths and example and unwanted profanity and apparently a 3rd person who couldn't stand it broke up the argument with this quote.

"Arguing on the internet is like running the special olympic , even if you win , your still a retard."

Well dun judge me from the quote , i dun have any prejudice on any people , and if you have been reading forum where people argue over the smallest thing in the internet , most of the time pointless , i would think this quote really makes lots of sense.

p.s , I have started to include punctuation in my post! EVOLUTION!!
Like a Star @ heaven -> monkey -> Laughing

Thou it make some immediate sense and coupled with excellent humor, this statement can easily blind a person of the spirit to reason. While there are no tangible results in making an arguement on the internet, it is through argueing that a person thinks instead conforming to whatever is said. Sometimes we dun neccessarily find argueing worthy in reality as reality always kicks you back in the face, but to stop argueing is to say you agree with everything. Do you agree with everyone and everything?

The internet is flexible and we should be liberal on the internet, language and opinion-wise, as it allows us to do so. On the other hand, if we choose to perperuate similar forms of 'social courtesy' or 'helplessness' from the physical world to the cyber world, the internet will be a sad place. And why log on in the 1st place? Lol.

Fred, how about a quote from our design n technology teacher, Goh Boon Pin:
"You don't neccessarily have to agree" Very Happy
